Piercer

This work is a continuation of a series I have been working on for some time now, involving numerous animals being combined with metallic or man-made components. This painting features a vulture with its wings outstretched. As it hovers in the air, its gaze reaches out to pull the viewer in. It has been stabbed with a shard of metal and more litter the ground beneath it. Should it fall, it would surely meet a tragic end. Scroll to see the full piece.
