Hello! my name is Cecilia Merlone, I am currently a college junior at Southeast Missouri State University and Saint Louis based painter. I specialize in natural subjects such as animals or plants, and I am most comfortable with using gouache and acrylic mediums. For as long as I can remember, I have been worried for the ever-changing state of our world, a fear I am sure many people share. I hope to illuminate the unique ways the fauna of our world are being forced to change and adapt through the use of visual metaphors. Specifically, animals that have been incorporated with man-made materials, such a metal or glass, are especially interesting to me.
